Pralo WaterSlide is an event taking place in Pralognant – France where anyone on ski can try is best to slide through a puddle of water, at the end of  a short slope, as far as the speed and weight allow … nothing too serious. Although Pralognant needed a very serious trophy to reward the best sliders. Here is my submission to there design contest.

The trophy is made by 3D transparent stereolythography. The medal (support) is 3D printed on spot by a simpler process with the name of the winners. Outward faces of the trophy are polished and varnished to obtain the transparency where needed.

Pralo waterSlide est un événement se déroulant à Pralognan dans les Alpes. Le but y étant de traverser une étendue d’eau au bas d’une piste en ski, aussi loin que votre vitesse et dextérité le permet. Rien de trop sérieux mais, Pralognan avait besoin d’un trophée adapté à l’ampleur de l’exploit !

Le trophée est fait à partir d’une impression 3D stéréolithographie de résine transparente. Le support médaille est aussi imprimé sur place par procédé plus rapide (dépôt de fil). Les faces extérieures du trophée sont polies et vernies pour obtenir la transparence nécessaire à l’observation des formes internes.
