Suggestive but not too obvious…
KFDS is a 3 man Design Consultancy where every single being has a different set of skills that complement each others. This consultancy works either on mobile/web build and product design, but focuses on project in a field of digital world such as handset or tablet.
The naming of the company came from the first letter of each founder’s name but it has always been intentional not to be obvious about it. The logo then had to follow this rule.
The flipped out K and the F are not even complete letter, but together they form a shape that anyone could interpret differently (it is a bird for me).
The next choice has been to allocate every member a colour code to stick to. Since members are all different, but under the same banner.
KFDS était une agence de design de 3 personnes très complémentaires. Elle travail à la conception de produit mais également de son environnement, site web et charte graphique. Le nom de la Compagnie est né des premières lettres des prénoms des deux fondateurs Kieron & François. De manière subtile, l’usage de ces lettres devait composé un signe plutôt que d’être directement lisible. Chaque membre de l’agence s’est vu déterminer une couleur différente pour souligner la versatilité de l’équipe complète.
